I am no light weight...

This wind is strong today. It actually pushed me down the beach...and I am no light weight. The seagulls were suspended in mid air. The wind and waves churned up more of those plastic wagon wheels that you know by now really TICK ME OFF! I found 37 of them today and this is almost a year since they were dumped by the Mamaroneck Water Treatment Plant. I day dreamed about a warm summer day when I will be sitting in a beach chair, or hanging in the water on my surfboard.

Sunday's paint brush

Took a looooong walk today along Smithtown Bay with my friend Alice. Not too many people can take the rigors of the rocks along the shore. But Alice held up! The sunset this evneing was spectacular and the water calm and smooth as a stone.

Winter Beach Boys

I can't imagine how cold your face must get this time of year when you wind surf or sail on Smithtown Bay for a hobby. Like "icicles-hanging-from-your-nose" kind of cold. It is so windy today that when I removed a glove to take these photos, it blew away so fast I never had a chance.

A Joy Luck kind of day

I guess you have to be a fan of the Joy Luck Club to get the reference- "This feather may look worthless, but it comes from afar and carries with it all my good intentions."
If you never saw the movie, then it's still a pretty cool looking feather, right?
