Saturday and Sunday were perfect days for kayaking, as the Smithtown Bay was like a lake. Fish were literally jumping and it's not even summertime yet. I made a new friend who did not think the water was too cold yet for swimming, but he has a fur coat on. I am not that brave to go in just yet. No horse shoe crabs sightings lately and May is almost over, but perhaps the full moon will bring some of them to shore. I have been on the lookout for dolphins, but I checked the news from last year and they did not show up until late June.
