Plastic Wagon Wheels
According to Newsday, these little polyethylene disks are not dangerous (see photo), but nonetheless, I am not too happy about hundreds of them washing up on Smithtown Bay. My Beach! They "escaped" from one of the tanks at a Mamaroneck water treatment plant. I think they look exactly like wagon wheel macaroni that we used eat when we were little kids. But I'll tell you what I'm going to do with them. I'm going to find out what jerk at that plant is responsible for letting them "escape" (that's really how Newsday described it) and then I am going to collect as many as possible. I will drive to that person's house in Ma...Ma...Mamaroneck and dump them all over his/her lawn. See how they like it. Here's your f*#$@%* disks back. They escaped! I also include a lovely sky after sunset. Bet they don't have that view from the water treatment plant in Ma...Ma...Mamaroneck.
