It really felt like a spring morning today at about 9:30 a.m. The sun was out and it was warm on my face. The bay was calm and at super high tide. There were some patches of floating debris out in the bay, some so large they almost looked like beaver dams. Of course they couldn't be, but I think from the storms a lot of beach straw got churned up and collected together so that it created floating islands.(photo) The best part of the day? I went back down to the beach about 6 p.m and I was not alone. Four deer were looking at me and then scooted off with their white tails waving goodbye. It was too dark to use the camera and they were too far away for a good photo anyway, so I just kept it all to myself.
