Not on my beat!

Beach Lady has turned into an Eco-Vigilante. I am not sure what to do, but here’s my problem. Last July 4th my neighbors had a party and set off lots of semi-professional fireworks. I noticed over the summer that they had just left all their garbage in the dune grass, never bothering to bring it back up and throw it out. This is a beach used by all the people who live on the street. How can people with young children set such a terrible example? So now that the sticker bushes and poison ivy have all died off over the winter, I, Beach Lady, couldn’t take it anymore. I went into the bushes and dragged out all their garbage. Now of course, a discreet Beach Lady would probably just bring a Hefty down to the beach and carry that big bag up 60 steps and throw it out herself. But Vigilante Beach Lady would really like to ring her neighbor’s bell and say, “Oh, lookie here what I got! Your garbage from last July! I thought perhaps you might want to look at it to see how it has NOT decomposed since you left it on the beach and maybe you’d like to show your children how to dispose of this garbage properly, seven months after the fact.” But is that really practical? What should I do? Who votes for the Discreet Beach Lady? The Eco-Vigilante Beach Lady? I await your comments and here’s a photo.
